Submission 1: Formal Letter

Dear Professor Blackstone, My name is Lutfur Rahman, a student in your MEC1281-T6 effective communication class. I am writing this letter as a way to introduce myself to you and my fellow classmates. I graduated from Nanyang Polytechnic, class of 2018, with a diploma in Aeronautical and Aerospace Technology. “While all engineers should have good communication skills, global engineers  face additional challenges, making effective communication an imperative.” -Debra Kraft, Careers Content Writer, Demand Media (2016) According to Debra Kraft (Careers Content Writer,Demand Media,United States, 2016), there is a need for engineers to be able to properly convey themselves in the workplace setting. However, with global engineers encountering the additional workload of unique and globally aligned tasks, there is an even greater need for them to have a better grasp of being able to properly communicate and express themselves. This is due to the fact that as a global engineer, there is a much greater outreach in the work that is done by them and the need to ensure that their work is understood universally is of utmost importance.
